The former Naitasiri loose forward also has the experience of having played in the U21 World Cup in 2002.

Vosawai dubbed as a naturalised Italian will become eligible to appear for the Azzurri five days before the tournament kicks off. "It's a great opportunity and an honor for me to be able to play in an Italy jersey at the World Cup," the 112-kilogram (247-pound) Vosawai told AP.

"Grammarican Lions help hospital"

SERAFINA QALO Tuesday, July 24, 2007
THE Savusavu hospital has received cartons of linen and crutches from former students of Suva Grammar School now living in the United States. Known as the Grammarican Lions Association based in Sacramento and San Francisco, the members have been helping local hospitals for the past two years as part of their "help project".

Association rep, Frances Cox, who brought the items to Fiji, said the urge to help people back home always occurred when one migrated. "We don't realise how much help is needed back home until we shift overseas and see a big difference in the standard of living," she said. "And we have seen this which has prompted our members to help people back home because we know we have the ability to do so," Ms Cox said.

She said last year, the group donated items to the Nadi and Rotuma hospitals. "The items we get from the United States are also donated from hospitals there and it is good to see the community that side always lending a helping hand for the people of Fiji," Ms Cox said.

Savusavu sub divisional medical officer Doctor Mohammed Ishaque described the donation as a blessing. "We have been so blessed to receive these items from the Grammaricanlions association in the US especially the linen for the hospital. "Towels and bed sheets are needed for patients and we are blessed to receive such a gift," Dr Ishaque said.
